REFLEXOLOGY

Reflexology is a science based on the artful application of gentle pressure on the reflex areas in the body. Reflexology can be applied on the hands, feet, face & ears, which can produce harmony, health & homeostasis (Balance).

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

Reflexology is the firm but gentle massage and manipulation of the reflexes of the body. Painful areas of the body are left undisturbed, yet relief can still be obtained by applying reflexology on the related reflexes in the feet. A mouth full, I know, lets break it down further.

The feet mirror the body, so every body part, organ and gland have a reflex point on the feet. Meaning we can work more in-depth without going too deep. The reflexes are situated close to our skins surface so a firm and gentle approach is all you need to get the desired effect. Though its a gentle alternative therapy it can be uncomfortable if your reflex points are in distress. Like a highly anxious persons adrenal gland reflex would be tender because the adrenals are responsible for your fight or flight responses. It will be over active resulting in a distressed reflex point. This is where a reflexologist would cater a session to your needs and work the distressed reflexes to obtain balance.

Intent is everything, my intent is to do no harm, and reflexology is not ticklish. I have yet to be kicked in the face and in my experience even those clients that insist they wont be able to handle it have done just that. You are in safe hands.

WHY REFLEXOLOGY?

Why not! Reflexology is a gentle but thorough approach to health and healing. Though it is gentle it can reach places that massage cannot. I recommend reflexology to clients who don’t like pressure but want to address the issues or simply love their feet being touched.

Some of you may be thinking “Hell no! I hate my feet and nobody wants to see that.” I have seen it all and I promise you, there is beauty in all things. let it go, I got you. Reflexology is very relaxing and can help with a broad spectrum of concerns, here are a few; it can help with insomnia, constipation, migraines, aches and pains, anxiety/stress, depression, stimulates under-active areas, calms over-productive areas, menopause, induction and many more.

Session Breakdown

In all reflexology sessions you are fully clothed, wear loose pants so that I can roll them up without cutting off your circulation. I start with a quick visual assessment of your feet because every beautiful callus, bunion, discoloration and swollen parts tell me a story. Then once we make a plan we continue with the session and end with a foot and lower leg massage.

I’m most proficient in foot reflexology with a little ear and face reflexology. As you heal your needs will shift so your sessions can be catered to your needs every time. Evolving as you do.
